Based on four nationallyrepresentative surveys of congregations fromacross the religious spectrum – the first in1998, and then in 2006-07, 2012, and 2018-19 – NCS findings encompass a wide range ofcongregations’ characteristics and activities.Because the same questions have been askedin multiple waves of the NCS, we can trackhow congregations have changed over time."
"... most othersurveys ask people about their own individualreligious beliefs and practices. The NCS, bycontrast, examines what people do together incongregations.
