For undergraduate and master's-level students, we provide basic grammar, form (Turabian, APA), and style suggestions. Once a submission is received (here), the student will receive feedback within three (3) business days. In addition, at your request, an in-person or phone consultation lasting up to thirty (30) minutes will be provided to discuss improving your writing and to clarify any points of confusion.
We provide an evaluation primarily on the following areas of your paper: the cover/title page, table of contents, the first five pages (double spaced, or 2.5 single spaced) of written content, the conclusion, and the bibliography/references page. In these pages, coaches look specifically for Logical Development, Grammar, Writing Style, Supporting Material, and Citation of Sources.

We do not provide research for, writing of, or formatting of papers.
We are not a proofreading service. You should proofread your document before sending it to us.
We are not a typing service nor do we insert needed corrections.
We will not format your paper into Turabian nor APA. That's your job. It's part of your educational experience (so embrace it).
We do not evaluate doctoral-level papers, book reviews, projects, or dissertations. Most coaches have not studied, researched, nor written at the doctoral level. If a doctoral student believes that services of a writing coach are necessary, upon request, the writing center may suggest individual(s) who provide for-hire coaching services.
Do proofread your document before sending it to us.
Do submit your paper to the Writing Center two (2) weeks prior the due date of the assignment (here). Submitting your paper at least a week early allows for sufficient time for the student to incorporate a coach's suggestions.
No more than three (3) submissions per semester are permitted. Coaching resources are limited. We want to assist as many students as possible each semester.
The same assignment may only be submitted once. We cannot evaluate a submission a second time after suggested corrections have been made.
Only submit complete papers. Submissions without table of contents, footnotes, pages numbers, etc., in large measure defeats the purpose of receiving meaningful feedback.
Upon completion of the online form and receipt of your submission (here), you will receive a confirmation email that your paper has been assigned to a writing coach.
The writing coach will review your submission within three (3) working days (not including weekends).
Within three working days, you will receive an email with a marked copy of your submission with various suggestions. In addition, your coach will offer to provide an in-person or phone consultation lasting up to thirty (30) minutes to discuss improving your writing and to clarify any points of confusion.
