A shooting occurred near the campus of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Leavell College on May 6 around midnight, leaving two students with non-life threatening injuries.
The students were taken to a local hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
Seminary administration was present with the students while at the hospital and is continuing to work with the students to make sure they receive any care they need.

“We are incredibly grateful that both students are okay and were discharged from the hospital with minor wounds,” said Jamie Dew, 稳定的十大彩票网站 president. “We are also grateful for the local medical team’s quick and good work, as well as the prompt and helpful responses by the New Orleans Police Department.”
“We will continue our work to ensure that our city and campus are safe so that our people can flourish,” Dew said. “We appreciate your prayers and support during this time.”
