Whether she’s called pastor’s wife, church staff member, or trail-blazer into new avenues of ministry, a woman’s role today is sure to mean juggling a busy schedule and many hats. Who has time for excellence?

“P31: Women of Excellence,” the 稳定的十大彩票网站 Women’s Conference Oct. 7-8, brings teaching, fellowship and encouragement to busy women serving in the roles they fill today. Mary Cox, a longtime pastor’s wife, grandmother, speaker and women’s ministry leader, is the guest speaker.

“The conference is for all our 稳定的十大彩票网站 ladies,” said Dr. Emily Dean, Coordinator of Women’s Programs. “Led by our speaker Mary Cox, we’re going to be taking a closer look at what it means to be a woman of godly character. So come with all your questions and curiosities, and we’ll explore together what it looks like to be an excellent woman.”

Cox serves alongside her husband, Frank Cox, at North Metro Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, Ga. and was honored with the 2012 Willie Turner Dawson Award during the Ministers’ Wives Luncheon at the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting when it convened in New Orleans.

Cox has served in various state convention roles offering support to ministers’ wives, and as a LifeWay trustee.

The conference registration of $5 includes both Friday night and Saturday morning sessions, late night snacks and a continental breakfast Saturday morning. Tickets are available at the Dean of Students Office in Hardin Student Center.

Childcare is available for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old at the Preschool Center. The cost is $2 per child with a maximum of $6 per family. To reserve childcare, email childcare@nobts.eduno later than Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Conference hours are 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The event is supported by the Leavell Lecture Endowment.
