David Odom's research and writing has focused on Youth Ministry and understanding Generation Z. He is most interested in creative ways to reach young people with the gospel and training the next generation of youth ministers.
His most recent research on Youth Ministry Arenas centered on the ways in which youth ministers lead teenagers in the youth group, engage parents, and connect teenagers to the congregation.
In his more than twenty-five years of ministry experience, he has served as youth minister, associate pastor, conference speaker, and board member of the Association of Youth Ministry Educators.
He and his wife, Natalie, have two children
