Fabio Castellanos serves as Director of Spanish Online Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Associate Pastor at Emmanuel Hispanic Baptist Church in Kenner, Louisiana. He has been joyfully married to Mónica since 2000, and they currently reside in New Orleans.
Originally from Colombia, Fabio earned a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Manuela Beltrán before responding to God’s call to full-time ministry. He served as a missionary for 15 years in Colombia and Ecuador, where he also completed a BA in theology. His graduate and doctoral studies were completed in the United Kingdom (Middlesex University) and the United States (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Lincoln Christian University).
Fabio's dissertation focused on textual and paratextual characteristics of Codex Petropolitanus (GA 041). He is particularly interested in the New Testament, the Intertestamental period, Christian education, and New Testament textual criticism. Passionate about theological formation, Fabio is deeply committed to strengthening theological and ministerial education within the Hispanic community through teaching, writing, and mentoring.
